    It's ballsy to open a steakhouse in the same location as a previously failed steakhouse. We had reservations for 5:00 pm on a Saturday and somehow ended up waiting when we arrived. The atmosphere was nice. A good temperature, not too much lighting but for how sparse it was for dinner time on a weekend, the music definitely needed to be louder. There is nothing worse than feeling like you're listening to the conversation of the table next to you. Also, the silverware was not polished. Surprising seeing that members of the wait staff were just standing around. Our waitress.... Bless her heart. Maybe it was her first day, maybe not, but she needed some training. She was sloppy with the water pitcher and constantly had to run back to the kitchen while were ordering, when she was serving our food, and she even walked away in the middle of serving our desserts. The food was good. I can tell that there has been lots of thought put into the menu not only in design but as well as flavor is concerned. We started off with salads that were 5 stars. They were delicate and plated nicely. That being said, when our main course arrived our food lacked a certain finesse that the overall atmosphere imparted. I had the citrus chicken that was served on massive pieces of broccoli. My husbands baked potato would have been a million times better rubbed with a bit of olive oil and sea salt served with some chives. The garnish on most of our plates was wilty from the heat lamps. All details, yes. But very important if you want people to pay $30 a plate... And expect them to return. We did receive free dessert for ordering entrees, and it was delicious. In my opinion this would be a great signature deal to attract more customers, seeing that by the time we left (7:00 pm) the dining room was practically empty. I write in hopes that the owner would be able to make some small changes that could lead to an overall better dining experience for their customers. Logan wants and needs a good successful steakhouse, and with a few minor tweaks I would have been more than satisfied with my meal at Logan Steakhouse!!

    Waitress, Janie, so nice and tried to work around restaurant's short comings. Manager had crossed arms and no empathy for $36 t - bone that was refrigerator cold in middle. Only offer was to take back the fat gobbuled steak for additional cooking which may have been done in a microwave. Still cold steak, and so was the manager. It didn't matter that we left the whole thing behind - no financial accommodations for our unhappiness - altho half price would be a hollow gesture when 95% of steak left behind. No wonder the place is 1/2 empty on a Saturday - oh, and they ran out of prime rib before 7:30 - our first entrée choice.

    Decided to try out the new restaurant in town. Generally a new place is hard to get in to for a few months. That's not the case this time. It was easy to get in and not crowded at all. The food was good, but nothing to brag about. The best part of my meal was the steak. It was cooked perfectly and was just the right size. The lobster bisque could've been better. It wasn't bad, just not what I had hoped for. Overall I'd recommend this place for an occasional visit, just not a regular one.

    I chose Logan Steakhouse because in Logan, UT your steak options are Texas Roadhouse, Sizzler or Golden Corral. I regret that I won't get to retry this meal as I'm headed home tomorrow but as with so much in life you don't get second chances. I sat in the bar area, which felt uncomfortable with the "Zion Curtain". The space was cavernous and lacked any adornment what so ever not to mention I was accosted by two pesky flies during my entire meal. I'm a ribeye guy. So when I'm buying a steak, its going to be the steak that grades the entire animal. I also ordered the Lobster bisque on a whim. Things didn't start well...server brought my salad out first and when I asked "when will I get the bisque?" he wasn't sure. So I ate my soup after my salad; no tragedy except the bisque was adequate at best. Steak came out lacking the Hotel Butter that I ordered with it and it was OD'd. They took it back and promptly brought a retry. This one was closer to mid-rare than the medium I ordered but it's better than over cooked and it had the Hotel Butter. However, this Ribeye was lacking the most delicious part...the CAP. The manager was nice enough to ask about my reorder and I asked about this. She didn't have an immediate answer but said she'd heard this before and would ask the chef then get back to me I finished my steak which seemed unusually heavy in silver-skin and all I could dwell on was "where's my CAP". After accessing my portion, I realized I had been served the tail of the ribeye joint. The very end of the portion where the cap has tapered out to nearly nothing. I didn't pay for a substandard cut but I had been served one. The manager knocked 20% off my tab for my troubles and offered a complimentary dessert. I accepted both. Before I left, I spoke with the manager and found out that she had been educated by the kitchen staff about the anatomy of a ribeye but still couldn't explain my missing CAP. I'll rely on my assessment and recommend that in the future the chef take this last cut of ribeye and season his burger with it like all good steakhouses do. Upon full reflection, this place could be so much more. They should be sourcing "local" Cache County beef (I saw them on the drive in), locally grown produce, and knocking customer socks off with on point service. A Yelper can wish in one hand...

    Wanted to like this place. Logan can use more high-end restaurants and I was anxious to see how Coppermill would evolve with a new location and name. Unfortunately, my experience was bad. The wait for food, the presentation of the food, and the quality of the food were all poor. My salad was drenched in dressing (why do restaurants continue to fail at this?), and my Ahi Tuna was inedible (took a few bites and left it). Seven others at the table (all foodies) gave mediocre to subpar ratings on their experience. We all agreed we probably wouldn't return. I spent just shy of $100 for me and my wife.

    Fantastic atmosphere, impressive menu, and great service. The food was ok. I have always been a fan of this building and loved Hamilton's Steakhouse that was here before. I really wanted to write a good review but can't get myself to give this place any better than 3 stars. The appetizers were poor quality and tasted bland. We had stuffed mushrooms ($8) and the lobster bisque ($8). I ordered the 10 oz ribeye and enjoyed it; however, it was not anything I'd come back for at $26. The caramelized onions were amazing and the garlic mashed potatoes were great. Check out my picts if you'd like to see the items above. All-n-all I thoroughly enjoyed my evening but must admit, it was largely because of the elegant atmosphere and my amazing date; not the food. Logan Steakhouse has great potential. Hopefully the chief will take it up a notch or two. Logan is in need of a good steakhouse. I'm sure I'll likely return but may need some type of special offer to actually get me in the door again.     We had dined at Coppermill Restaurant on a previous trip to Logan. We were told that the owners of that restaurant had relocated to the Logan Steakhouse site. The building itself is large, cavernous, and is filled with multiple tables and booths. We arrived around 5:30 PM since we had a concert later. The early bird menu was offered as well as a regular menu. We opted to share a NY steak from the early bird menu as well as a salad. The steak was thin but cooked medium rare as ordered. It was tasty but we regretted not ordering off the regular menu where maybe we would've gotten a thicker steak. The salad had greens, pears, and bleu cheese and it was good. We also got a complimentary shrimp cocktail which we opted to take home----just too much food. Dessert offered was a Bananas Foster-----a crepe with ice cream, bananas, and a caramel sauce. It was just OK. Personally I like plain Bananas Foster----just ice cream and bananas sautéed in a brown sugar and butter sauce like the New Orleans version. If one is looking for a reasonably priced meal the early bird selections are $15 and include dessert and there were many choices available. If we ate here again, we would probably select something other than steak. It's a pity----because this is a steakhouse. It's just not the quality I would expect of a steakhouse.

    Absolutely horrendous. Service AND food. Disgusting thick strawberry dressing on salad. Sweet Potato gratin inedible. Never cleared our plates. Took 20 min to get wine and water. Would never return.

    Beautiful presentation!! Absolutely delicious food!! Everything we got was prepared exactly as we asked for it and exceeded expectation in taste!! Our server was prompt, friendly and very professional in his manner!! I must say I haven't been to a better steakhouse!! An absolute MUST try!!

    We came here for my mother's birthday. I had the clam chowder, Caesar salad, new York steak 10oz and au gratin sweet potatoes. I'll go through each item individually. 1. The soup tasted like a pre-packaged slop ordered in from Sysco. It had the consistency of snot, was cold, and generally tasted horrible. And I'm normally a huge fan of clan chowder. 2. The 'Caesar' salad; one bite and done. I don't know what kind of dressing that was but it tasted like 4 parts mayonnaise and one part Caesar. Horrible! 3. The steak and carmelized onions. Greasy, tough, and slid down my throat with the same feeling as an olive oil soaked piece of rubber. Seasoning was terrible and the grilled onions tasted like rubber bands. Definitely NOT worth the $24 proce tag. 4. The potatoes. God, these potatoes were awful. The cheese they were garnished with tasted like the Swiss a college dorm resident left out for a week. Immediately turned my stomach in the worst way. Seriously, even the bread they brought the table was chewy and cold. There was not one redeeming quality with my experience at this restaurant. Except for a helpful waitress who didn't even know what sodas they had. Normally, If I have a terrible experience at a restaurant, I'll give it one more chance. NOT IN THIS CASE! Save your money and go somewhere else. Drive to preston and try the New York Deli. A fraction of the price and the best steak in Cache Valley.

    So good! We stopped in for dinner while visiting family out of state. We've eaten at a lot of higher end places and this ranks up there. I gave it 4 stars because the service to price ratio wasn't fantastic but not bad either. The salmon and filet minon was outstanding. The server was not well versed in the wines they offer but the house can was great. The pre dinner rolls were not fresh and from scratch like many other places do but the honey butter was good. My salad was a bit heavy on the dressing but no complaints otherwise. The building and decor was beautiful. Quiet setting and great lighting and ambiance.

    We started our meal with the smoked salmon with a dill cream sauce with a couple slices of toast. The fish was slimy and had no smoke flavor or even the look of it being smoked. We left several pieces uneaten do to the lack luster flavor. The wife decided on the deep fried prawns, she didn't love the texture of the breading it seemed the shimp were much smaller than normal. The cocktail sauce was good. Got the rib eye cooked medium rare. You can add special sauces to your steak I choose garlic butter. The steak was cooked to the desired temp but was not a very high quality cut of meat. The garlic mashed potatoes were good. The other couple got the lobster bisc soup and he said it was watery and tasteless. However his shrimp salad he enjoyed. My meal was over 70.00$. I think you are paying fir the atmosphere rate than the food. .

    Was in town for business and decided to give it a try. Had diner with 3 associates and each of us liked what we had. Three of us had steaks and the other had the salmon. No complaints from anyone. I upgraded to the wedge salad with my filet, creamy blue cheese steak topping and baked potato. The bill for the four of us was 140 plus tip. About what you should expect for a fine dinning steakhouse. I hope they do well

    A group of coworkers and I, around 20 of us decided to go here since it had recently opened up and was in it's first week of opening under new name and management. So this was around 3 weeks ago. We were greeted nicely and given a wait. Since the bar area was empty we asked if we could drink and eat there. Since we are all from out of town, and from drinking areas, we drink. We were a little noisy, but we were not obnoxious. We knew we would be dropping around a lot of money so we expected to be serviced well. With 2-3 servers they would have walked away with 100-150 tip each for 2 hours of service. So anyways service from 2 of the 3 were great as they accommodated us. The lady, who was a manager, was very unaccommodating. And when I say that I mean she didn't work with us when our food was subpar (more on that) and when we had missing items, and food that had run out. Very unwilling to please our group. When coming to these type of restaurants where you'll be spending 75+ per head on food and drinks...you expect better. On to food, after all you come to a restaurant for the food not service. I can forgive the shortcomings of service if food is great. So first, salad was decent. Not great...of course I had to ask 4 times to finally get it. That was after I asked a glass of wine to be comped after they ran out of prime rib for myself and 4 others. She got really snooty with me after that, and seemed really avoidant of me. She said she can't comp alcoholic beverages, no matter that another of our group got comped a shot from another server. So prime rib was out. So I got a steak. Wow when it finally came, it was paper thin for what a quality steak should be. I could easily have done better at home without trying The potato's that others had gotten? Wendy's has better that have been sitting under a warm lamp for a day. These were pathetic. My truffle macaroni was bleh. Couldn't taste much. My co workers half chicken was more like half a quail. And dry. That was how most of the food went. Was really mediocre and not where it should be when spending this much money. And don't order mixed drinks...multiples we tried. None tasted of alcohol. Weak. Was just so disappointed in this place. Was much better before under different name, owner and menu. On your opening couple weeks you should over prepare and over please your guests to start bringing in the good reviews. I want to give another star for the fact we had no reservation and was a large group...but that's no excuse for what we were served.

    We've now been 3 times, not because any one was worth repeating but because we're starved for decent restaurants since moving out this way. After the last visit, unfortunately I don't think we'll be back even though we're fairly desperate. The ambiance is fine, although I think wide-open spaces like that tend to remind me of chains and would die for a cozy classy ambiance at this point. And everyone is friendly and smiles. And all three times we went, when we ordered a steak, the steak was at least edible (and 2/3 times the filet mignon was excellent, so long as we didn't take the waiters prompt to add a sauce - we've now tried each on the side, and would not order a single one again). All three times the garlic mashed potatoes were great, but they seemed 'cheaply' great to me, relying too much on salt and fat for flavor like a fast food restaurant (but I really love salt and fat, so I'll take it). Other than that, all dishes and sides were in the bad/aweful range, and our last meal was more in the 'this is a serious health risk' range. The last time we went, we ordered mussels, which we had also ordered the first time. The first time they seemed less than fresh, but the sauce was delicious and they weren't too bad (and I'm not crazy - I do know we're in the middle of Utah and can't actually expect super fresh mussels). This last time, we could smell them coming to the table - extremely fishy smelling. The closer to my mouth/nose, the closer to completely rotten they smelled. I put one in my mouth and spit it out, my husband doing the same thing at the same time (and I should note that he eats EVERYTHING, and that neither of us has EVER sent a meal back at a restaurant). We told the waiter that the mussels were rotten, and he returned saying that the "executive chef" told him there was a different batch of mussels and that he'd make us a new order. My husband was scared, I said yes. We got more mussels, and they were equally rotten; not sure where the communication was off there, but I'm hopeful that the executive chef wouldn't really send out rotten food twice... My husband, again not ever shy about eating everything and testing his stomach's limits, was disinterested in the rest of his food because he couldn't get the rotten smell off his hands and it was flavoring his steak (I didn't touch the muscles with my fingers, and was able to enjoy his fillet, but didn't bother with much else). Between the baked potato (served with literally a pad of butter and a dollop of sour cream, nothing else...sizzler style) and the way overdressed salads that were really unbalanced in flavor, and the really, really nasty flavor combo in the sweet potato gratin...let alone the fact that 2 of the 3 creme brullees weren't actually bruleed (That's just called pudding, and NO ONE orders butterscotch pudding on purpose!) and the third they might have forgotten the vanilla that day... Overall, really, really disappointed. I'm hopeful that the reviews here will improve and give us a reason to return in a year or so. In the meantime, we'll just keep hoping that Herms will add a dinner already!

    Four of us went tonight celebrating a birthday. They started us off with a napkin covered basket of light wheat rolls that were dry and cold. I wondered if they had been in that basket for a few hours. We had the mussels appetizer which was excellent. The mussels were tender and succulent and the creamy leek sauce so good that we slurped up every drop. Thankfully they brought three pieces of toast with the mussels because we wanted to dip bread in the sauce and the rolls were not worth the time or calories. The side salads were small and plain but the ranch and blue cheese dressings were good. The four entrees we chose were Petite Filet Mignon with a side of asparagus, scallops with mashed potatoes, rib eye steak and baked potato and lamb chops on ratatouille with house fries. With beef dishes you get to choose a sauce, but the beef was so heavily seasoned that the sauces were unnecessary. I had the filet and asparagus and wished the rolls were better because I needed something to calm down the spice on my tongue. My daughter thought that the scallops were very salty and was glad for the mashed potatoes. The scallops were buttery smooth and tender, however. My husband's baked potato wasn't hot enough to melt the butter and his steak was so so. My son in law seemed to enjoy the lamb chops. They had a special for dessert so we tried the strawberry cheesecake and chocolate flan. Both were beautifully presented and good, but not fabulous. We wished we could have the flan without the chocolate cake that made up 2/3 of the dessert. Overall, if we go back, it will be for the mussels. Without buying drinks, the bill was $110 before the tip.

    We went with low expectations, two prior occupants failing. Contrary to negative reviews here and elsewhere, we had a wonderful meal (we live in Scottsdale and I have dined at all the top steak houses...Donovan's, Ruth Chis',Masto's, BLT, etc) and this venue is close to that top tier level without the pretense. Our server, Katie S. was superb and a delight. For only $2.00 extra we were able to split an entree and then were informed that we also would receive a second salad and potato with the split plate! (Best $2.00 I ever spent in a restaurant.) Nice house wine, superb steak, wonderful yeast rolls, and a totally enjoyable evening. Will definitely revisit on our next trip to Logan, sincerely hope it is successful, it seems restaurants are closing every time we come (Aggy's, La Tormenta, Iron Gate, Krumb Bro, Kamin, Copper Mill, Cracker Barrel, Hamilton's, Mendez Bro, etc while franchised crap seems to thrive?)
